£82 is pretty steep for shirt that looks like one my dad wore in the summer of 1979. I like its little foldy-upped sleeves and delicate button down collar. In all it’s pretty mint, especially paired with my high-waisted white Adidas tennis shorts. It also escaped the embroidery needle of the pretty naff “Amy” logo thats scrawled across the rest of her latest collection.

LOVE THIS. It reminds me of the “Its a small world’ ride at Disneyland.

A Film Jam project done in one week by a group of CG-artists and animators at The Animation Workshop in Viborg, Denmark.

“The idea was to recreate an animated version of Augustin Lesage’s painting ‘A symbolic Composition of the Spiritual World’ from 1923. Using computer animation, we created this ~2 minute long film loop.”

A directorial debut for Richard Ayoade, and equally a first for Alex Turner who contributed five solo songs to the soundtrack. The film is based upon the novel of the same name written by Joe Dunthorne. Set in Swansea the film captures the anguish of a quiet 15 year old boy desperate to lose his virginity, impress his peers and prevent the breakdown of his family. The soundtrack compliments the cinematography, seamlessly combining to capture Olivers emotions of isolation and desperation, and his overt pubesecent awkwardness. A distinctly accurate and relatable tale of first love, peppered with the dry humour expected of Ayoade. I shall look forward to his next film as I’m sure there is nothing uncomplishable for this man.
